Odysseus and Achilles were strong Greek warriors and helped Agamemnon to defeat Troy. Achilles killed the Trojan hero Hector. Odyssey invented the famous Trojan horse. But both them might avoid joining the Greek army.
Odysseus pretended to be crazy. He put on torn clothes, and tried to sow the land with salt, while plowing the fields with a goat and an ox. Odysseus stopped only when Palamedes put the baby son in front of the plow.
Thetis, mother of Achilles, disguised her son as a woman, but he was revealed by Odysseus. Odysseus dressed as a merchant and filled a cart with weapons, clothing and perfumes. While the women saw the clothes and perfumes, Achilles looked at weapons. Another version says that Odysseus blew a horn, and the women fled except Achilles.
